Wilcox County students learned first-hand about proper soil preparation and planting using environmentally-friendly methods. Horticulture specialists from Auburn University discussed the importance of erosion control and use of fertilizers and pesticides in a safe manner. Students created potted Mediterranean herb gardens to take back to the classrooms for future study and use on pizza lunches.
