Black Belt Education Program 2009 ModulesButterfly Garden DedicationCSAT students culminated a year-long effort to bring butterfly gardens to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers site at Millers Ferry in Wilcox County with a ribbon cutting. The seventh and eighth-graders participated in designing and planting the two gardens. They also produced layouts for educational materials. Groundbreaking for an educational kiosk near the larger of the two gardens also took place. Ms. TyDeidre Sloan, CSAT 8th grader read a poem she had written about the garden.
