Black Belt Education Program 2009 ModulesRaptor ProgramSponsored by AUEI, the Southeastern Raptor Center brought its educational program to CSAT in Wilcox County to teach about birds of prey. Students observed raptors, such as eagles, falcons, hawks, vultures, and owls while learning about their habitats, conservation and ecology. Students learned that raptors are indicators of ecosystem health by their roles at the top of the food chain. If raptors in nature are threatened, then other animals in that ecosystem also are at risk.
