Soil Science

Module leaders demonstrated how much soil we have on the earth so the students understand how precious the soils are to us.

Students brought soil samples from home to be used for the soils analysis. They learned about the formation and composition of soils as well as some of the environmental importance of protecting soils from erosion and pollution. Chemical analyses for nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus were conducted on the samples and students identified if the presence was low, medium, or high for each chemical.
