Black Belt Education Program 2009 ModulesWetlandsMs. Smith discussed the importance of wetlands and how to protect them. Students learned that wetlands filter out pollutants, serve as homes and nurseries for aquatic creatures, reduce erosion and provide food for humans and other animals. Students examined bio-facts or specimens of frogs, alligators, fish, birds and more.
